Created or Man-made Diamonds: Term used to describe lab-grown diamonds
Lab Grown Diamonds: Diamonds that are grown above the ground in a laboratory.
Mined Diamonds: Diamonds that are grown below the ground by nature.
Synthetic: Sometimes used to describe lab-grown diamonds, but this is misleading because it implies false imitations.
Simulated: Not diamonds; imitate the look of a diamond. Cubic zirconia is best known simulated diamond. Used in low-priced jewellery.
Diamond: A diamond is a mineral consisting essentially of pure carbon crystalized in the isometric system. This is the same for Lab Grown Diamonds and Mined Diamonds.
